9. January 2009 Nõmme Jazz organized several good Christmas concerts in December 2008, the listeners had the opportunity to donate money into Estonian Children's Funds' stipend fund. Altogehther 5526.- kroons was donated.
Collected money will be given to those young people from orphans' homes who will continue their studies in universities. Children's Fund supports those students already since 1988. There are about 16 students from orphans' homes at the moment in Estonia.
There were 3 concerts in the frame of Nõmme Jazz. On the 14th of December Silvi Vrait, Jaak Jürisson, Raul Vaigla and gospel choir Living Stone made music in Nõmme Peace Church.
On the 19th of December Aleksandra Anstal, Giuseppe De Gregorio, Julia Anstal and Jaanika Ventsel performed and on the 21st of December Tuuli Taul sang together with Merje Kägu and Mart Soo, the guitar players.
Also charity Christmas cards were sold on theres concerts.
