Participate in research of the intelligence of hyperactive children!

Dear parent!
Marju Kattel, a student of pre-school teacher-counceller in Tallinn University is waiting for Your help.
Kattel writes her masters theme on "The intelligence of hyperactive children" and wishes to carry through a research. Fifteen children aged 4 to 7 years with ADHD diagnosis are expected in this research. Researcher tests the children with Wechler intelligence scale for pre- and primary school.
Wechsler's scale (WPPSI-R test) is meant for measuring as far as 7-year old childrens' capabilities. Activity-IQ and verbal IQ are measured separately. In measuring task the child has to piece togethe a puzzle, a labyrinth etc.
In verbal scale the children have either to explain the meaning of different words or generalise for example the meanings of shoe and coat, rain and snow, cent and crown etc. Also they must find a logical cause-consequence connection answering questions like why do we need the watch, why our money must be in bank etc. Testing on child takes about 45 minutes.
Marju Kattel wishes to prove that ADHD children are as intelligent as the other children who don't have ADHD diagnosis. If You are interesting in participating in this research please contact Marju Kattel!
