Nipsutera found the orphans

14. December 2007
Hilli Rand, a writer for children, has published a new colourful children's book in the end of 2007 called "Nimeks Nipsutera" that is aimed to children aged 4 to 8 years. Illustrators are Mari-Leen Üksküla and Kalju Kivi. Thanks to the kind givers the children from Estonias' orphans' homes, support centres and reformatories got this book for Christmas. All the givers have written their dedications to the little readers, among others several wellknown people and organisations. Big sponsors were SIA Caparol Baltica Estonian branch, Estonian Apostle Orthodoxy Church and Universaal Universum.

Altogether 130 books and 240 colour-books "Nipsutera lõbus kunstnikuraamat" found their way to children in cooperation with Estonian Children's Fund. "I am very happy for all the people who participated in this charity project, wrote dedications and good wishes, even glued their photoes to these books," said Hilli Rand. Sirje Grossmann - Loot, executive director of ECF added that the book is one of the best gifts for a child, encouraging his/her fantasy and nourishes to read also in the future. She also pointed out that the books are given to those who don't have many things to call their own.
