There are 3480 children going to first class this year in Tallinn

There are 3480 children going to first class from municipal and privat schools in Tallinn. That is 142 children more than last year.

Altogether there are about 46 000 children going to school in Tallinn, that is about a thousand pupils less than in 2006. Tallinn students are about 30% of Estonian students.

To the last class of elementary school goes 4800 pupils and in spring 2008 there about 4500 students will from graduate school.

By the first of September three schools are totally renovated: Tallinn Mustamäe Humanitarian Gymnasium, Lasnamäe Russian Gymnasium and Pelgulinna Gymnasium. In October also Tallinn Kelmiküla Kindergarden will be opened.

Capacious renovation-work will continue in Old Town Educational Colleague and it should be finished in December 2007.

In Tallinn Art Gymnasium the deadline of the second phase of repair-work is October 2007. The renovations in Tallinn German Gymnasium's fourth floor will finish also by the end of first quater.
