A new brochure "Help for divorcing parents" is revealed

23. April 2007
In the middle of April 2007 Estonian Children's Fund's new brochure "Help for divorcing parents" revealed.

Brochure is compiled by fund's executive director Sirje Grossmann - Loot, who has for some time now carried through seminar-schoolings for divorcers in Tallinn.

A very stressful work-life leaves less and less time and attention to children and husband. The wishes that have not been discussed and the needs of the children without attention may lead us to one of the most difficult crises in our life - a divorce.

Grossmann - Loot says that divorce is affecting not only the husbands, but also childrens every-day routine, even relatives and friends are affected.

In this new brochure among the others the following themes are discussed:
  • What helps the child to cope with divorce better?
  • A parent needs to speak with her/his child about the divorce.
  • The stress factors for child in the middle of parents' divorce.
  • Divorce-help for adults.

Brochures are in Estonian and Russian language and available in Estonian Children's Fund.
