The elections of Miss University donated money to Estonian Children's Fund

24. April 2007
In the frame of Tallinn Student Days Miss University was elected on the 18th of Aprill 2007 at nightclub Hollywood. Miss University is Anna Dõtõna from the Academy of Music and Theatre. The gathered money was donated to Estonian Children's Fund.

Miss University was elected for the 7th time and was special this year because as a result of the co-operation with www.weekend.ee and other partners the money gathered from SMS election was donated to Estonian Children's Fund.

According to the main organizer Andres Torm it is the organizers' wish to make that kind of charity a tradition: students show others good example and help those who need it the most. "Every little benefaction will always make you feel better", said Andres Torm.

Donated money (2 500.- Estonian crowns, 160.- euros) has already a certain purpose: a camping journey in the beginning of summer for children from ECF's project Pathfinders. Pathfinders is a programme which teaches children social skills and this year its activities are in Sikupilli High School.
"It is remarkable that all the candidates of this competition and other students draw attention to those things," added Tuuli Elstrok, a project leader from ECF.

As a gratitude for this event Kuulsaal invited the candidates and children from Pathfinders project to play bowling altogether.
